“The park is the lung of our community, breathing life into every street.”
Established 1984
Stewards of Livingston Park.
Dedicated to the preservation, protection, and enhancement of our city’s most beloved urban sanctuary.
Our Story
The foundation began as a grassroots whisper among neighbors. In the early 1980s, Livingston Park—once the crown jewel of our district—had fallen into quiet neglect. Invasive species threatened the native oak groves, and the historic civic pathways were fading.
What started as a Saturday morning clean-up crew grew into the Livingston Park Foundation. Our founders recognized that a park of this scale required more than just maintenance; it required visionary stewardship.
Today, we are a formal 501(c)(3) non-profit, but our heart remains in the soil. We are residents, ecologists, and families bound by a single mission: ensuring Livingston Park remains a sanctuary for generations to come.
The Stewardship Model
A public-private partnership built on mutual respect and shared civic pride.
Civic Integration
We don’t work alongside the city; we work with them. Our foundation provides the specialized ecological expertise and volunteer mobilization that supplements municipal maintenance, ensuring every dollar spent goes further.
